VILLA PETITE MAISON

Villa Petite Maison [petit mezą] is the optimal solution for those seeking a compact home in a timeless, classic style. We recommend a separate garage as an additional structure that won’t disrupt the symmetry of the building.

This project is ideal for a 2+2 or 2+3 family configuration. It features optimal space utilization and a functional interior layout. The entrance to the building leads through a small vestibule with French-style sliding glass doors. From the hallway, you have access to a bathroom with a walk-in shower and a WC, as well as the staircase.

On the ground floor, you’ll find a very comfortable and spacious kitchen with an island. Its tall cabinets can easily serve as a pantry and allow for storage of supplies. The dining area is visually separated from the kitchen by a peninsula with barstools, which is a great place to create a breakfast zone. The living space totals nearly 40 m², and it appears even larger thanks to the open communication area (9 m²) and the kitchen. On the ground floor, there’s also a fairly large office (17 m²). Depending on your needs, there’s the possibility to extend the living room into this space, creating a home library or reading nook.

Most rooms on the ground floor have tall windows, providing perfect natural light and serving as an exit to the external terrace. On this level, you will also find a boiler room connected to the laundry room and a spacious wardrobe for outerwear.

The first floor offers almost 115 m² of space, arranged into three children’s bedrooms and a master bedroom with its own bathroom and walk-in closet. The children’s bedrooms have access to a fully equipped bathroom with a bathtub, a shower, double sinks, a WC, and a bidet. The Master Bedroom has an additional bonus feature – access to the front balcony. The smallest of the children’s bedrooms, or a guest room, has a beautiful triple window with a view of the garden and a 13 m² balcony, which is ideal for sunbathing.

For this building, a detached garage is recommended, which won’t disrupt its symmetry and proportions. The two-car garage with additional space for bikes, lawnmowers, or other garden equipment is designed in the classic principles of architecture. We have proposed a double sectional door, which can be equipped with an additional glazed panel at the top. There’s also the option of installing two single garage doors. The building has an independent side entrance and windows providing natural light.

FINISHING MATERIALS

Willa Petite Maison was designed using traditional brick construction techniques, utilizing ceramic blocks. It does not have a basement. The building’s insulation features high-quality polystyrene. The cream color scheme of the facade, which we have proposed, appears on flat surfaces and on decorative elements such as pilasters, window bands, decorative niches, and the crown molding.

The windows have been maintained in a classic form, with Vienna mullions. Their light gray color matches the material used for the roof to ensure overall coherence. The main doors, accented with a darker color, create a focal point for the entire facade. The motif of the decorative niches between the windows has been repeated on them, and the gently rounded lintel adds a sense of grandeur. On both sides of the doors and on the covered terrace, we have introduced understated wall sconces that beautifully emphasize the facade.

The hipped roof of this luxurious villa has a pitch of 35 degrees and is finished with plain roofing tiles in a light, matte gray color. The building’s gutters are located on the upper cornice, making them invisible. The downspouts, on the other hand, have been designed as concealed, preserving the high aesthetic quality of the facade.

When arranging the immediate surroundings, we opted for a simple hedge of low-trimmed yews, along with various types of grass and ferns. Woodland vegetation intertwines with flowering shrubs and Carolina juncus plantings. In the garden, we’ve created two relaxation areas. The first one is fully covered and has direct access from the living room, while the second is located in the depths of the garden. Here, we’ve proposed a custom-made elevated fire pit. The design is based on a circular shape and is finished with hand-formed clinker tiles. The center of the area is occupied by the fire pit, surrounded by comfortable armchairs. The circular motif appears in one more place, as decorative garden lighting, which illuminates the surrounding
