VILLA INDUSTRIELLE
Villa Industrielle [industriel] was born out of our love for industrial style and a distinct contrast of finishing materials. We opted for black windows with mullions, a dark roof with plain roof tiles, and an exterior facade in light shades of gray.
This project is perfectly suited as a solution for a 2+2 or 2+3 family. It is characterized by optimal space utilization and a functional interior layout. The entrance to the building leads through a small vestibule with French-style sliding glass doors. From the hallway, we have access to a bathroom with a walk-in shower and a WC, as well as the staircase.
On the ground floor, you will find a very comfortable and spacious kitchen with an island. Its tall cabinets can easily serve as a pantry and allow for storage of supplies. The dining area is visually separated from the kitchen by a peninsula with barstools, which is a great place to create a breakfast zone. The living space totals nearly 40 m², and it appears even larger thanks to the open communication area (9 m²) and the kitchen. On the ground floor, there’s also a fairly large office (17 m²). Depending on your needs, there’s the possibility to extend the living room into this space, creating a home library or reading nook.
Most rooms on the ground floor have tall windows, providing perfect natural light and serving as an exit to the external terrace. On this level, you will also find a boiler room connected to the laundry room and a spacious wardrobe for outerwear.
The first floor offers almost 115 m² of space, arranged into three children’s bedrooms and a master bedroom with its own bathroom and walk-in closet. The children’s bedrooms have access to a fully equipped bathroom with a bathtub, a shower, double sinks, a WC, and a bidet. The Master Bedroom has access to the front balcony. The smallest of the children’s bedrooms, or a guest room, has a beautiful triple window with a view of the garden and a 13 m² balcony, which is ideal for sunbathing.
For this building, a detached garage is recommended, which won’t disrupt its symmetry and proportions. The two-car garage with additional space for bikes, lawnmowers, or other garden equipment is designed in a classic style. We have proposed a double sectional door, which can be equipped with an additional glazed panel at the top. There’s also the option of installing two single garage doors. The building has an independent side entrance and windows providing natural light.

FINISHING MATERIALS
Willa Industrielle was designed using traditional brick construction techniques, utilizing ceramic blocks. It does not have a basement. The building’s insulation features high-quality polystyrene. The gray color scheme of the facade we’ve proposed is complemented by slightly lighter stucco elements such as pilasters, window bands, and a crown molding.
For this villa, we selected black aluminum window profiles, further enhanced by distinctive mullions. These mullions are repeated in the beautiful fully glazed front entrance doors, which are one of our favorite elements of this project. To better showcase the doors and industrial sconces, we opted for a column-less design, thus gently reducing the depth of the front balcony. The roof covering, metalwork, and garage door are all in the same dark color, creating a fantastic harmony with the gray facade.
When arranging the surroundings of the building, we chose a simple hedge of low-trimmed yews, along with various types of grass and ferns. Woodland vegetation is intertwined with flowering shrubs and Carolina juncus plantings. In the garden, we’ve created two relaxation areas. The first one is completely covered and directly accessible from the living room, while the second is located deeper in the garden. Here, we’ve proposed a custom-made elevated fire pit. The design is based on a circular shape and is finished with hand-formed clinker tiles. The focal point of this area is the fire pit, surrounded by comfortable chairs. The circular motif appears in one more place – as decorative garden lighting, illuminating the vegetation around.
