VILLA SPLENDIDE
Villa Splendide is a project undertaken for clients for whom we expanded the main structure of the building to 16m to achieve more spacious interiors than those in Villa Saphir or Petite Maison. Additionally, here, we have a wonderfully complementing classical structure, the fence. The CLASSIC design is one of the two proposals we created as part of the UNIQUE FENCE collection.
For a long time, we were searching for an idea for an extraordinary fence that, in addition to excellent quality, would suit the classical architecture characteristic of our portfolio. This is how the idea of collaborating with the experienced fence manufacturer XCEL emerged. We enriched their offer of minimalist gates, wickets, and panels with a few details, adjusted the proportions slightly, and immediately knew we had it! Elegant double doors surrounded by a stunning stone portal lead to the building. Just beyond them is a spacious foyer. The investors decided against a separate vestibule, so upon entering, we have a beautifully open space. On the right is the office, also serving as an additional guest room. Directly in front of it are the doors to the through wardrobe, which also serves as a passage to the garage and access to the pantry located directly next to the kitchen, making unloading groceries very easy and convenient.
The living area consists of a living room with beautiful corner glazing, a dining room for 8-10 people, and a kitchen with an island. The kitchen is designed with the possibility of additional concealment with sliding doors, allowing for the containment of more intense cooking odors. The communication with the pantry is hidden in tall built-in furniture and does not attract attention.
The upper floor of Villa Splendide has a total area of 125m² and includes the Master Bedroom area with a private bath and wardrobe, 3 bedrooms, an additional bathroom, and built-in space with a washer and dryer. Two children’s bedrooms have their own walk-in closets, and the third is slightly smaller but has fantastic lighting with a triple window located above the main entrance. The shared bathroom is equipped with a bathtub, shower, double sinks with a spacious countertop, and a toilet.



FINISHING MATERIALS
In the project of Villa Splendide, we designed the foundation on a slab and walls using traditional masonry technology. The two-layer wall consists of a ceramic block of 25cm and 20cm of styrofoam insulation. If desired, there is always the option to replace the insulation material with mineral wool, just maintaining the same parameters. The facade of this building is planned to be finished with plaster in a color of off-white, which will result in an exceptionally elegant appearance. The light gray roof tile complements it delicately and presents itself wonderfully with the structure in creamy shades.
Windows with small-pane muntins are planned in a color of light, warm gray. In our designs, we primarily focus on Viennese muntins, double-sided adhesive, with a dummy muntin and a warm frame to improve the window’s U-value. Such windows can be made of both wood and aluminum, with the most interesting solution being wooden windows with an aluminum overlay on the outside. Beautiful entrance doors with niches based on a circle have been raised and gained additional upper glazing. Furthermore, they are surrounded by a magnificent stone door portal with a carved extension, also serving as partial roofing. We decided to forgo the typical entrance canopy with columns and a balcony above. Therefore, the room on the upper floor has a windowsill at a height of 40cm, not a floor-to-ceiling window.
The entire driveway is proposed to be made of polished concrete, and the greenery around consists of geometric forms of shrubs, delicate decorative grass, and a few flowering plants in the garden. This simplified form allows for minimal effort and enjoyment of an elegant garden throughout the year. Additionally, at the entrance and on the terrace from the garden side, there are additional planters with plantings.
