VILLA LA FLEUR

The La Fleur villa is a project created to individual specifications. It primarily builds on the concept of a single-story house but incorporates a usable attic. The home also includes a partial basement, featuring technical, storage, and recreational areas. A convenient two-car garage is designed as a separate, freestanding building.

This fantastic villa was designed for individual clients, tailored to their expectations and vision for both its exterior appearance and interior functionality. They liked the initial concept we proposed, and we then focused on optimizing various elements, zones, and the overall size. We tested several versions that led us to the final design, satisfying both parties.

The ground floor of the La Fleur villa features many characteristics typical of single-story homes. It includes a very comfortable master bedroom with a fully equipped bathroom and a walk-in closet, as well as two offices that can also function as guest rooms. They have access to a bathroom with a shower. Adjacent to the master bedroom is a convenient laundry room with a chute from the attic. The living area encompasses nearly 70m², featuring a dining room for 16-20 people, a living room with a TV area, and a fireplace with a beautiful surround. The true gem and heart of the home is the 30m² kitchen. We designed a highly functional layout with a large island with bar stools, and a bay window with space for a breakfast table. Additionally, there is a spacious pantry next to the kitchen that can also serve as a dirty kitchen if needed. Near the entrance area with a small foyer, we managed to create a separate coat closet for outerwear.

The attic offers approximately 120m² of usable space (140m² including floor area), designed to accommodate 3 children’s bedrooms. Each bedroom has a workspace, sleeping area, and a small walk-in closet. They share a fully equipped bathroom and a storage or additional laundry room. Communication between floors is facilitated by a very convenient staircase with a landing. In the partial basement, we included 2 storage rooms, a technical area with a boiler room, and a recreational room with a shower bathroom.

FINISHING MATERIALS

The La Fleur villa was designed using traditional masonry technology. The two-layer wall consists of 25 cm ceramic blocks (Porotherm) and 20 cm of high-quality polystyrene insulation.

The building is a fusion of off-white plaster with contrasting ceramic roofing tiles and gray window joinery. The light stuccoes used here are very subtle, intended to highlight key architectural elements such as the cornice and windows. A notable feature of the La Fleur villa is the kitchen bay window, which allows ample natural light into this area, and the living room with its covered section. Although they are not symmetrical, they help maintain rhythm and harmony on the garden-facing elevation.

The plot where the building will be constructed has a significant slope, so we proposed a wildflower meadow and classic plantings of hydrangeas for the front part of the property. Decorative grasses and olive trees in pots also appear here.
