MAISON MUSE

Maison Muse is a project that was created on an individual order. The investors aimed to create a modern villa inspired by Mediterranean style and elements that were carefully curated in an excellent mood board.

The urban plot, 25 meters wide, an expanded functional program, and a very cohesive set of inspirations—this is how the work on this project started. The zoning plan was exceptionally favorable and essentially imposed no restrictions on us. However, achieving the final look of the building was quite an elaborate process. Stepping outside our usual style, we needed more time to find the right proportions and connections. However, with such perfectly prepared and aware investors, it had to succeed. After many attempts, we achieved the wow effect!

The building features a designated vestibule and direct access to the cloakroom for outerwear. The living area is intensively illuminated thanks to arched and straight lintel windows. It is planned over 85 m² and includes a living room with a fireplace, a dining area, and a huge kitchen with an island and a bar, as well as a utility kitchen with plenty of storage space. The living room is open to two levels, reaching a height of 6.5 meters at its peak. In direct connection with the living area, a very bright children’s playroom was designed, with access to the outside.

On the ground floor, there is also a guest room with its own bathroom and built-in wardrobe, a convenient laundry room with a dryer, a boiler room, and an additional storage room. From the garden and the covered terrace, there is an office for two people, with fantastic corner glazing. It can also serve as an emergency guest room, as it has space for a sofa bed. The building also includes a garage for two cars, with internal dimensions of 6.5 x 6.7 meters.

A very comfortable U-shaped staircase with a double landing will lead us to the first floor. Between the flights, we have preserved space to spectacularly highlight the lighting, which was very important to the investors. On the first floor, there are three children’s bedrooms and a bathroom with a bathtub and shower for their use. The Master Bedroom area has impressive dimensions, and here we managed to arrange a very spacious bedroom, a wardrobe with an additional island for jewelry and accessories, and a beautiful bathroom with double doors and a freestanding bathtub under the window. Additionally, we have a separate studio with a mini kitchen and a bathroom. It is connected to the floor and has an additional staircase (spiral stairs) coming from the storage room on the ground floor.


FINISHING MATERIALS

The building was designed to be highly energy-efficient. The walls were constructed using blocks, which were then insulated with 25 cm thick Styrofoam. The entire structure is set on a foundation slab, which also enhances insulation parameters.

On the roof of Maison Muse, synthetic shingles in a warm brown color were used. The multi-pitched roof with a slope angle of 42 degrees has an unusual shape. It is flattened in the central part, where space was designated for the installation of photovoltaic panels. The main doors and garage door are made of wood, which is also featured in the interiors. Windows with minimalist mullions were selected in a dark anthracite color. The front elevation gains charm from small shutters.

The building’s facade combines three materials—mineral plaster, white brick, and stone, which was used to emphasize window lintels. The main entrance is accentuated by an elegant portal. Stucco decorations are minimal and appear in only a few places as a finishing element.

In this project, the terrace played a key role from the very beginning, and we searched for a solution that would allow a smooth transition from the living area to it. It is divided into two zones: a fully covered relaxation area and a dining area with an outdoor kitchen and a comfortable table for 8-12 people. The project also includes an outdoor pool and a sun terrace, with the best possible exposure to all sides of the world.
