MARRON RESIDENCE
The Marron Residence is a custom project that we developed based on the Gemme Residence. In collaboration with the clients, we incorporated a series of changes to ensure the building was maximally tailored to their needs and expectations. Additionally, we adjusted all functions to fit the plot, its orientation, and the zoning regulations it is subject to. This approach is how we create some of our most interesting projects.
Compared to the original version, which caught the eye of our investors, we optimized the space by reducing it from 360 to 310 m² while retaining most of the functions. The entire ground floor is highly functional and can definitely be described as open. One of the most striking features of this building is the large living room, which is open to two levels and is also visible from the mezzanine.
In the entrance area, we included a foyer that provides access to a bathroom on the ground floor, a study that can also serve as a guest room, and a garage for two cars with internal dimensions of 650 x 660 cm. The entire living area was designed to cover over 90 m². At the center is a dining area for 8 people, which can be expanded to accommodate 12-14 seats, with easy access to the external terrace. In the left wing, we have a kitchen (25 m²) with a very large island and an adjacent pantry. The opposite corner features a 36 m² living room open to two levels. Additionally, the living room includes a fireplace portal and a beautiful glass corner, which, when the HS windows are opened, allows a seamless transition between the interior and the terrace area.
On the 130 m² upper floor, we arranged space for a comfortable master bedroom with its own bathroom and dressing room. The bathroom is equipped with both a bathtub and a walk-in shower, double sinks, a toilet, and a bidet. Additionally, there are three bedrooms for children, a convenient laundry room, and a fully equipped bathroom dedicated to the children.



FINISHING MATERIALS
The Marron residence project does not include a basement and is designed using traditional masonry technology with a foundation slab and a poured ceiling over the ground floor. The 45 cm thick walls consist of 25 cm ceramic blocks and 20 cm thick polystyrene insulation. The entire building is equipped with underfloor heating powered by an air-to-air heat pump. We also plan to include gas heating as an additional source of warmth. At the request of the clients, a fireplace with a closed combustion chamber has been included. The active air conditioning system operates with a multisplit setup, providing cooling to each room through wall-mounted units.
For the façade, we proposed a combination of two materials: handcrafted brick tiles and mineral plaster in two shades—broken white and warm gray. The windows, main doors, and garage doors are designed in the same warm gray as the bay window in the living room. The building also features delicate decorative elements, such as a crown cornice, window surrounds, and a base. Both at the main entrance and on the side façade, we suggested slightly protruding elements that give the building its unique character. The side bay window near the staircase not only adds interest to the design but also contributes to excellent daylighting.
On the site where the building will be constructed, there is a magnificent oak tree that will be prominently visible from the living room. The greenery proposed in the visualizations is low-maintenance and serves to complement the building’s impressive form, which is maintained in warm earth tones—ranging from browns to beiges and grays.
