COTTAGE HOUSE

Cottage House is a compact home design with an area of 175 m², created for families of 2+1 or 2+2. It features a cottage style that works perfectly both in urban and rural settings, fitting seamlessly into a picturesque atmosphere. The house can be constructed using either lightweight or traditional masonry technology.

This exceptional project was developed in close collaboration with GENERO, a company specializing in the construction of energy-efficient homes using STEICO lightweight technology. Our goal was to offer interesting architecture that harmonizes with both urban and rural settings. Additionally, a standout feature is the construction time, which, with full optimization, allows for achieving a developer’s shell in less than six months from obtaining the building permit!

The building features an entry area with a built-in wardrobe. The 55 m² living area is well-lit, with partial terrace roofing still allowing plenty of natural light into the interiors. It includes a living room with a dining area (35 m²) and a kitchen with an island (20 m²). Adjacent to the kitchen, there is a handy pantry. On the ground floor, we have allocated space for an office or additional guest room of 16 m², as well as a convenient bathroom with a shower. In the no-garage option, we designed a separate side entrance, leading to a mudroom (a part of the utility room combined with a convenient laundry area).

The first floor is accessed via a wonderfully illuminated staircase with a spiral design. On the 66.5 m² (usable area) of this floor, we designed a very comfortable master bedroom with its own wardrobe (which can be converted into a bathroom), along with two bedrooms for children. Residents will find a comfortable and fully equipped bathroom (shower, bathtub, sink, WC) with a window on this level. An interesting feature is the inclusion of an additional large storage closet accessible from the communication area.

FINISHING MATERIALS

The Cottage House is designed from the outset to be built using STEICO lightweight technology, although construction in traditional masonry with a two-layer wall is also possible.

The project stands out for its use of classic chocolate-colored roofing tiles, which blend beautifully with the wooden terrace and handcrafted clinker tiles in beige tones. The remaining facades are finished with high-quality, finely textured mineral plaster. For this elevation, we chose an earthy color palette, and it was a perfect choice! The color composition is stunning and ensures that the building blends seamlessly into its surroundings while maintaining its unique and distinctive character.

In designing the immediate surroundings, we opted for rhododendron shrubs in shades of pink and purple, as well as numerous pampas grasses. The pathway leading to the building features an interesting arrangement of natural stone. The driveway, made of paving slabs, offers convenience and easy maintenance. For the terrace, we selected concrete slabs on a bedding with dedicated steps, which helps to optimize costs and minimizes the potential risk of cracking due to frost.
